a trail of bones scattered consciously in its wake
the beast mocks invitation to the shepard's valiance.
its snare in place, the shepard sights in on the beast.
but the cunning beast hides itself behind age old hatreds
its true intentitions, envious & greedy, remains.
that fateful day which forever will live in his heart
the beast attacks. stabing blindside his beloved one,
the apple of his eye now bleeding and crying out.
his heart broken, his ego bruised, he lies
ashamed and enraged. his vengence now his fire.

retreating once again to the hills of hatred
so the calculating beast taunts knowingly.
the shepard now ensnared by fiery thrist.
but the beast, ever-ellusive, feeds on hate.
the shepard turned hunter red with retribution
unleashes his fury reckless and unmedditated.
his fire has turned him into something else.
no righteous ends, no justice in his violence.
reigning death and destruction in hot persuit
and falling victim to speculation and rumor.
the beast smug, smiles with satisfaction.
it has turned the shepard into a fellow devourer.
